Sheila Hennessy
Although Sheila has been an artist her entire life, she only recently returned to art after a hiatus to raise a son and dedicating herself to family life. Her work is influenced by Jungian psychology, especially his archetypes and how they manifest in daily living. She works primarily in clay but also paints. Sheila quilts and enjoys gardening, cooking, travel and studying the Thai language and culture. Recently she has been a volunteer art teacher at Frontier HS, the alternative HS for at-risk students. The rich fabric of her life shows in her creative use of color, line and subject matter. That’s why I selected Sheila to show in this Invitational.
