ARTIST STATEMENT
For the past few years, I have been working in Raku and shinny glaze treatment of slab-rolled clay. I have done a series of flowers and vases in both of these glazes.
In addition to this, I have done a series of tiled wall plaques and am presently working on some tribute shrines honoring sport accomplishments. These were inspired by a box of bowling trophies I bought at an estate sale and the themes have grown to include many trophy figures for various honors.
