"Elements of Land and Water, Reflection Series " Abstract landscape paintings based on the inspiration of reflection both literal and symbolic. The definition of reflection states: “something reflected, as light, radiant heat, sound or and image, concentration of the mind, careful consideration and imagination.” Incorporating both land and at times water these paintings evoke a sense of light, time, place, imagination and a contemplative mind. Using rich color and texture these abstracted landscapes engage the viewer to interpret their own associations and connection of place and experience. As an artist I am constantly challenged and inspired by the landscape around us and the endless ways in which to paint it.
