Core New Art Space invites all filmmakers to participate in its Open Entry Juried "National Film, Video & Digital Shorts Screening/The Last Pixel Show."

The works juried in will be screened at Core Gallery, 2045 Larimer Street, Denver, Colorado from May 16 - June 1, 2003 and premiered at the Starz Film Center, home to the Denver Film Society and the University of Colorado at Denver’s College of Arts & Media film education program.

1. Submit one VHS 1/2 tape, up to one per category, labeled as shown.

2. Enclose a non-refundable check for $25 for each entry made out to: Core.

3. Enclose check, VHS 1/2 tape and a completed entry form. Core will retain all tapes for educational purposes unless a SASE is enclosed along with the proper US postage. All award winners will be archived and may be posted on the Core website in their entirety or in part.

4. Entries must be postmarked by March 1, 2003.

There will be one "Best of Show" award in each category and one overall winner "The Big Kahuna." A student award in each category will be awarded according to the jurors discretion. There can be additional awards as deemed appropriate by the jurors. Their judgement is final. Each award winner will be provided with a DVD of the award winners, along with all-you-can-eat-pop-corn at the screening event. We are working on more prizes, if anyone has a good idea let us know.

Media & Specifications: Work can be produced in any format, film, video or digital but must have been produced in the last three years (from April 20th, 1999–April 20th, 2003). Each film must be submitted by one of the originators, the director, writer or producer. Each filmmaker may submit up to one entry in each of the categories. A student may submit up to one entry in each of the categories but must prove that they were or are enrolled in a film/media program ie: transcript/grades/bill/note from home, etc. Each film must be at least 5 minutes long and up to 12+ or so long. EXCEPTIONS: Works shorter than 5 minutes can be placed in the "Leftovers" category. We will only view 12 minutes of your film in the jurying process unless........it is so captivating that we want to view it in its entirety. Remember, you are taking your chances if it is an epic since this is a shorts showcase.
