We live in a time
of aesthetic, psychic, and cultural fragmentation, a time
when we are being absorbed into mechanized culture.
Because it is my belief that the great fragmentation occured
around 1965,I have chosen that general time as my psychic
contact with the past. In my work, I draw upon memories and
emotional content from pre-fragmentation days, and intermingle
them with mental imagery that is metaphorically suggested
through the percieved physical and non-physical realities
suggested by objects existing in the current time.
