ARTIST’S STATEMENT

I have always believed that the deepest root of art is the spiritual. While there may be other criteria by which it is now judged, from the intellectual to the financial, at it’s most fundamental I feel that it is a yearning for the divine in our lives, an attempt to invoke it, to understand it; to acknowledge it. We are looking for a means to make sense of the senseless, to see beyond what can be seen. For me, art has been a means to come to terms with the mysterious and titanic forces that shape our lives.
