My work has evolved from everything that I have been exposed to, both practically and emotionally. My imagery includes pop art, surrealism expressionism and contains biographical references that I don't fully comprehend. We live in a world that is full of imagery that is superficial.
I have interest in creating artwork that reveals meaning below the surface, which coincides with my current work that is on cardboard and wood. With cardboard I cut and peel the surface to expose the corrugation beneath. On wood I work with silhouette figures that contain other images inside that expose meaning. The silhouette images are versions of modern glyphs or pictographs and are an expression of a spiritual and magical inner need to create.
